Our Fees per buck for the 2010 Fall Semen Collection Tour.
- Straw Price is $3.75 each
- Semen not strong enough to process is $35.00
- Semen discarded that didn't survive the freeze process is $50.00
- Semen Analysis is $35.00
- PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF COLLECTION
- We accept MasterCard or Visa and Cash. Due to the large number of NSF checks we have received, unfortunately we no longer accept personal checks.
Due to the ever rising fuel and nitrogen costs it has forced us to no longer be able to absorb some of these operating expenses.
On collection day the bucks that we will be collecting need to be in condition and ready to work.
By this we mean that bucks need to be “flushed out” 4 to 5 days prior to being collected. This doesn’t mean putting the buck in a pen with many does for a few days, or letting him run in a pen next to a pen full of does that may or may not be in heat. You, the buck owner need to put a lead rope on your buck and actually see him ejaculate and give a good hip thrust 5 to 6 times over a few days time 4 to 5 days prior to collection. By doing this it will help him get rid of the old dead semen that he has built up. The 4 to 5 days prior to collection will give him ample time to rejuvenate a new supply of strong fresh high quality semen.
THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. If a buck has been sitting idle for some time he will build up masses of dead semen. If he has not been able to ejaculate 5 to 6 times within the 4 to 5 days before collection the quality of semen that he gives on collection day will not be strong enough to survive the freeze. We have DEVOTED a whole page on "Buck Preparation" to guide you in preparing your buck not only for having his semen preserved but also for your getting him in condition for your breeding season(s).
We would like to have 6 to 8 bucks at a collection stop. If you do not have this number of bucks and would like to have a buck(s) collected we will assist you in finding a collection closest to you.

Our seminars run anywhere from 4 to 6 hours or longer. It all depends on the people in attendance.
- Each person receives our printed AI Handbook to take home and refer back to during breeding season if needed.
It really works well if there are several does in heat the day of our seminar. The does are a lot more cooperative and can actually be bred during the seminar. We have found that 10 to 15 people in a seminar works well. With this number of people it allows more hands on training.

Please keep in mind that due to the line of work we do the majority of time is spent in very rural areas. This means there are times where we are without cell phone or internet connection for several days in a row.
